Fitness headset microphones are exposed to a lot of wear and tear. When we exercise we sweat, we talk and we shout at them. When the class is over and we get to the shower, the microphone has not finished its class yet. We work so much with our microphones that borders on abuse. For this reason it is not a surprise that they give us so many problems. But you can help a little by treating them with more care. This way you can have a better performance in your microphone system. Most headset microphones that are used in groups are designed to be placed on one side of the face and at a distance of a finger and a half or two fingers from the corner of the mouth, or slightly to the front and side of the mouth, not directly in front as with most microphones that singers use. This helps to avoid the amplification of the noises that are produced by breathing and the puff of saliva in the microphone capsule while teaching.

NEVER blow a microphone to test it!
The easiest way to damage a Microphone is to blow it into the delicate microphone capsule.
All you need to do is say a simple “test – one – two – three testing” and avoid making unnecessary repairs.
To store the system when it is not in use and prolong its life, hang the headset microphone on a hook 1 m (3 feet) above a shelf for the transmitter, so that the earphone cable is kept as straight as possible . Never wind or bend the cable.Follow these 5 simple steps for your care:
1) Do not place the microphone directly in front of your mouth.
2) Never blow on the microphone.
3) Always use a neoprene transmitter belt.
4) Always remove the windshield after use.5) Hang the microphone when it is not in use. Never wind or bend the cable. When the microphone is too loud there is a squealing sound, the music is too loud for the microphone or you are too close to the speakers. In any case, you should lower the microphone level or move away from the speakers and stop the howling, so just adjust the levels to get the right combination of voice over music without the squeaks. If the feedback persists due to the architecture of the room (full of mirrors, windows, polished hardwood floors and brick top walls) or its types of speakers (ie, some horn tweeters), there is a selection of exterminator devices Feedback or 31-band graphic equalizers available as an additional component that fits between the Wireless Microphone Receiver and the Mixer, which will filter out those annoying squeals.

When used correctly, headset microphones that were designed for the use of group exercises will provide many years of trouble-free service. Always take care of your fitness microphone and always have it with you.
